Platform Updates
One-Off Invoices Made Even Easier
You can now quickly add one-off, miscellaneous invoices outside of the usual monthly cycle. For example, this could be a hardware sale that needs to be invoiced immediately or a change/correction to a charge on a prior invoice.
In the Action Invoices tab under the main Invoicing page, you’ll now see a + button beside the action dropdown.
Click this button to create a new, one-off invoice. You can specify the invoice date and due date for this invoice along with any one-off product transaction you’d like to add.

Export Miscellaneous, One-Off invoices
If you export invoices to systems such as ConnectWise, Autotask, Xero, or QuickBooks, you’ll also be able to easily export any miscellaneous invoices just like you export Agreement invoices!
Differentiate Agreement and Miscellaneous Invoices
With the new miscellaneous invoice feature, we also wanted to make it easy for you to be able to tell these one-off invoices apart from your regular agreement invoices.
You’ll now see a new “Invoice Type” column when viewing invoices in the customer account or invoicing screens. This will make it easy for you to identify and sort your invoices.
Account Manager Column During Invoicing
You can now easily view invoices by Account Manager with the new “Account Manager” column in the invoicing screens. You can also use this column to quickly sort and filter.
Identify Service Items Assigned to Inactive Customers
You can now easily sort Service Items attached to inactive customers with a new “Customer Status” column on the main Service Items page.
When reviewing your exceptions report, the Customer Status column will make it easier to identify any service items that are in the Datagate portal but assigned to a customer that has been made Inactive.
You can then take the appropriate action required - whether that is making the customer Active, deleting the Service Item or assigning it to a different customer.
ConnectWise Manage Integration
Merge Similar Product Transactions During Export
When exporting invoices to ConnectWise Manage, you can now merge similar product transactions to a single line item.
This new option will let you combine Product Transactions mapped to the same ConnectWise product with the same Cost and Sell values into a single ConnectWise agreement addition or a single invoice line.
Note: this option would typically only be enabled if you are automatically importing and re-charging supplier invoices (eBills). If you leave this box unchecked, the ConnectWise export will continue to function as usual.
Autotask PSA Integration
Import Customer Email from Autotask
When you synchronize customers from Autotask, Datagate will automatically pull the name and email of the primary contact on the Autotask account as the customer email.
Tax Codes for Contract Servies [US Resellers Only]
If you are synchronizing Services from Autotask Contracts, you can now match them with Product Templates with preconfigured tax codes in Datagate to successfully calculate taxes and surcharges for the USA and Canada.
QuickBooks Online Integration
QuickBooks Online Payments
f you use QuickBooks Online to collect payments from your customers via credit card, we have some great news!
You can now send invoices from Datagate with a direct link to pay that exact invoice with QuickBooks Online Payments.
