Release Notes: Integration Updates and More
In Advance Setting for Product Kits
Similar to Product Templates, you can now add “In Advance” settings to Product Kit Templates as well!
This includes “In Current Month”, “One Month in Advance”, “One Month in Arrears” and so on.
Invoices Already Exported
Datagate will now warn you if you are trying to export invoices or credit notes that have already been exported to another system (ConnectWise, Autotask, QuickBooks or Xero) to prevent duplication.
Tax Engines [US Resellers ONLY]
Tax Exemption Logic [CSI Tax Engine ONLY]
If you apply a tax exemption at the customer level, it will now also apply to all of their sites.
Missing Zip Codes for Sites
To prevent invalid invoices from being created, invoice generation will automatically stop for any sites that do not have a valid zip code assigned, if the “Use Site’s Zip/Postal Code for Tax Engine” option is selected for the customer.
Quoter Integration
In Advance Settings for Product Kits
If you are quoting Product Kits from Quoter, “In Advance” settings from the corresponding Product Kit Template in Datagate will automatically be applied when the quote is accepted. (See In Advance setting for Product Kits above)
QuickBooks Online Integration
Payment Terms
When exporting Datagate invoices to QuickBooks Online, you now have the ability to set the payment terms using the Datagate Invoice Due Date or using QuickBooks Billing Terms.
If enabled, Datagate will import payment terms from QuickBooks and allow you to specify during the invoice export process.
Xero Integration
External Credits
Datagate will now automatically pull credit notes added to invoices in Xero as AR transactions.
Datagate Tips and Tricks
Quickly Filtering Customers
Use the filter box on the top left to quickly filter to a specific customer during invoice generation. This is particularly useful if you want to see all un-invoiced periods for a customer.
Ignoring Invoices
If you need to clean up the Generate Invoices tab and hide any unwanted invoices, try out the Ignore feature.
Simply select the invoices you want to ignore, click the drop-down beside the Generate button, and choose “Ignore”.
Viewing Ignored Invoices
Related to the tip above, if you want to see all of the invoices that you’ve ignored, use the Grid Settings cog beside the filter box and select “Ignored Only” as the preference for Invoices to Display.
