💻 Platform Updates

Customer Users

Import

You can now import Customer Users from a csv file.

Navigate to menu: Import

Choose Customer Users, press Next.

From there you can download a template csv file. Retain line 1 which has the column headings. Replace line two with your own Customer user details, and continue with all the Customer Users you want to import.

Send emails for login

When you add a new Customer user, you now can send them an email with a link to set their own password.

From the Customer, navigate to the Customer User tab. Follow the prompts. An email will be sent to the user, allowing them to set their own password and login. 

The Datagate user can re-send the email to the Customer user by clicking on the Customer's Username and choosing to "Send another invitation".

The standard email format can be customized in Settings/Emails.

Better management of Customer Users

You can now manage Customer Users separately from their assignment to a specific Customer. This is useful where a single Customer User has access to Multiple Customers.

 

Kits

You can now customize Kits when you assign them to a Customer. This allows more flexibility when assigning to a Customer, and may reduce the number of Kit Templates.

Navigate to Customers/Products. Edit an existing Kit, or "+" Add Product Kit.

🚨 Note that a new "Products" tab is displayed, allowing you to view or edit the Kit Components for that specific Customer.

🚨 Note that when a Kit Template is assigned to a Customer, the Kit Components are copied to the Customer. Future changes to the Kit Template will not be applied to existing Customer Product Kits.

Invoice Terms

We now allow more lines for Invoice terms.

Navigate to Settings/Organization.

Be sure to press Enter after each line, before saving.

Invoice Screens

You can now resize more columns in the Invoicing/Action Invoices, and Customers Invoices screens.

This will allow you to fit more columns on the screen.

Reports

Exceptions

You can now Filter the exceptions report.

This allows you to filter results for a specific phone number/Service Item or Alias.

Customer Invoices

The Customer invoices report now includes invoices in Generated status.

Customer Products Tab

You can now display Notes as a column.

Navigate to Customers > Products tab and add the "Notes" as a column.

End Customer Portal

We have optimized this for displaying on a Mobile device.

🌎 Public API

You can now access Invoice Details - Product Transactions, Usage, Surcharges and Tax using the Public API.

This will allow Datagate Users with development capability to write their own interface to their specific accounting system, or make the information available in their own Customer Portal.

🇺🇸 USA Only

Taxes Based on Shipping Site

If a Miscellaneous invoice has a Shipping Site, the Shipping Site will be sent to the tax engine to be used in the tax calculation.

If there is no Shipping Site, the existing rules will apply.
