💡What's New?
💻 Platform Updates
Calculate Call Cost
We are excited to announce a new feature in our Usage Rating: the ability to calculate call/usage cost. In this context, cost price is the cost to you, the Datagate user. Sell price is the charge to your customer
With this new addition, you can now determine the cost of any call usage, even if the Call Detail Record (CDR) does not include the cost.
This feature is particularly useful for businesses that want to accurately determine the profitability of their call activities. With the ability to determine cost and sell rates yourself, you can now have better visibility of profitability.
To access the call cost information, simply navigate to the Rate Card, Records tab.
Archive/Hide Old Invoices
You can now hide any invoices or credit notes that are no longer active or relevant, making it easier to manage and organize your invoicing history.
To archive invoices, simply navigate to the Invoicing/Action Invoices section, select the invoices or credit notes you wish to archive, and choose Archive from the Actions drop-down. The archived invoices can be viewed or restored at any time using the "Active/Archived" slider.
Please note that archiving invoices will not affect any tax reporting for our customers in the USA and Canada. Therefore, we recommend that you delete or credit any test or unused invoices before archiving, to ensure accurate reporting.
Extended Tax Code Validation
Enhancements to tax code validation, available to our customers in USA and Canada, will help ensure that all charges on invoices are taxed correctly.
With extended Tax Code Validation, our system will automatically notify you if there are charges on an invoice that do not have a tax code assigned. This will help you avoid errors and ensure that your tax reporting is accurate and compliant.
🦉 ConnectWise Integration
ConnectWise Invoice Exports
Datagate now has the ability to break down large exports into smaller batches automatically. This means that you can now export all your invoices for the month in one ConnectWise export without having to worry about exceeding limits.
To take advantage of this feature, simply use the search by invoice date option to select all the invoices for the current month before exporting in the usual manner. Datagate will then automatically break down the export into smaller, more manageable batches behind the scenes.
This feature will allow you to complete the invoice export process much more quickly.
