External References

Customer External Accounting Reference and Site External Reference can now be managed from within Connectwise.

We expect this could be used in the following scenarios

• You use these fields to display on the invoice or
• You use these fields for Service Item or other automated import

AND

• You have Connectwise integration and would prefer to manage as much data as possible from within Connectwise

To enable this feature (please see warning below):

In Connectwise, navigate to System/ Setup Tables/ Category: General/ Custom Fields

Screen: Company/ Pod Description: Company Overview

Add a new field that looks like this, and Save. Please feel free to add your own Help Text:

Navigate back to Custom Fields.

Screen: Site/ PodDescription: Site Details

Add a new field that looks like this, and Save. Please feel free to add your own Help Text:

If you want to continue to manage these two Datagate fields from within Datagate, please do NOT create these custom fields in ConnectWise.
