Resolving exceptions is an important recurring task that users will be require to do. This ensures all your raw data has been successfully processed by Datagate before you begin doing your billing. How ever many times you do this depends on you. You could check and resolve your exceptions once a week or once a month before you do the billing.

How to Resolve Each Type of Exception
- Unmatched Service Items: Usage
- Check if the service item has been duplicated in the system.
- If you cannot find any duplicates, you will need to add the service item to a customer.
TIP: When checking for duplicates, use the Global / Service Item page to search through all your service items per service type
- No Pricing Available: Usage
- Check if there is a rate card already assigned to the customer.
- If there is a rate card already assigned, then set a rate on the rate card service item.
- If there is no rate card assigned, then create a brand new rate card and assign it to the customer.
TIP: The prefix column on the report will help you to identify what type of usage does not have a rate. For Example the Prefix of '021' means a price has not been set for mobile and '00613' means a price for Australian landline has not been set.
