Autotask will be the "source of truth". Data is imported/updated from Autotask to Datagate
Set the Customer in Autotask
If you want an Autotask Customer to import to Datagate, Please set the following User Field to "Yes"
How to get the Customer to Datagate
1. Manually running the Customer Sync
Customers. Click the Gear Icon, then the Autotask icon:
2. With the Product Sync
If you have the Product Sync enabled, the Customer sync will run when the Product Sync runs
What happens when Customer are Sync'd
- We match on Autotask Id first, then Customer name
- New Customers are added to Datagate
- Existing Datagate Customers are updated with any changes made to the Autotask Customers
- Any Customers that don't match with Autotask will be made Inactive
- Any Inactive Datagate Customers that match with Autotask (Id or name) will be reactivated

Sites
Note Sites are initially matched with Autotask Location ID. Locations must be Active in Autotask to come across to Datagate. If the internal Id isn't found. we match on Site name.
Sites in Datagate that do not have a corresponding Location in Autotask are made Inactive in Datagate
