If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Services Team.
Before you enable two-factor authentication:
- Please check all Datagate users know their username and password - or...
- If they don't know/remember their password, at least ensure they know their username which is displayed on the top right of the portal. They will need their username to reset their password
To enable two Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Datagate portal:
Choose menu option Settings/ Portal and check "Two Factor Authentication".
When you press Save, a warning message will display:
Any Datagate users logged in currently will be logged out within the next 20 minutes.
After that, when your users next try to login to Datagate, they will need to configure their two-factor authentication.
After logging in with their username and password, Datagate will show a QR code, which they should scan using a standard authenticator tool – for example Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password etc.
Their authenticator app will provide a code which will be entered into the Datagate portal when they login.
