💡What's New?
💻 Platform Updates
Automatic Credit Card Fee [Stripe]
You can now automatically include a credit card fee for customers that are paying via Stripe through Datagate.
This fee will be automatically added to their invoice total whether they pay through the End Customer Portal or you charge their payment method through your Datagate portal.
Invoice Templates Now Invoice Layouts
If you have multiple invoice templates, they are now referred to as “Invoice Layouts”. They can still be found in the Customer/Details tab.
A PDF file can be attached to the end of an invoice layout from Settings/ Invoice Layouts. This could be used for T&Cs or marketing information.
🦉 ConnectWise Integration
Force ConnectWise Product Sync
You can now start the ConnectWise product sync immediately. If you have enabled ConnectWise Product Sync (Settings/ Integrations/ ConnectWise Manage/ Details/ Enable Product Sync), you can press “Force Sync” to start the process.
Please be sure to consult your Datagate consultant if you are thinking of making additional modifications on this page.
Import Standard Invoice
Datagate can now import ConnectWise Standard invoices, adding to our existing functionality of importing Miscellaneous invoices.
Here are some possible use cases:
- USA - You want all ConnectWise invoices to be processed through your tax engine
- You want all invoices to be stored in, and sent from, Datagate. Datagate’s End Customer Portal will show all the customers’ invoices including those initiated from ConnectWise.
- You want to use the Datagate format invoice layout for all invoices to your customer, including those initiated from ConnectWise
- You want to utilize other Datagate interfaces, such as the Xero integration, for ConnectWise invoices
If you have an existing interface with ConnectWise, do not enable this functionality without discussing the implications with a Datagate consultant.
🌀 Kaseya Integration (Phase One)
We’re proud to introduce a brand new PSA integration with Kaseya BMS!
If you are interested in configuring this new integration and would like more information, please contact the Datagate Services Team.
Customer Sync
Datagate will automatically import customers and sites from Kaseya to eliminate the need to rekey customer data.
Customers and Sites can also be manually imported from the Datagate Customers page.
Invoice Sync - Import Invoices
You can automatically import invoices (one-off and recurrent) from Kaseya into Datagate as miscellaneous invoices.
If you want to use Datagate to calculate taxes (sales and telecom), use this feature to quickly pull invoices from Kaseya.
The use cases mentioned above for the ConnectWise invoice import also apply.
💳 Pinch Payments (Australia)
End Customer Portal Payments via Pinch
You can now use Pinch Payments to process credit card payments from your customers through the Datagate End Customer Portal (ECP).
Your customers can log on to the ECP to store their credit card on file and make payments.
If a payment method is stored, you can charge your customers automatically from your Datagate portal.
🖥 QuickBooks Desktop
Export Taxes to Single Product Code
You can now export all taxes from an invoice in Datagate to a single Product Code in QuickBooks Desktop.
Choose the “Single Line Taxes” option during the invoice export wizard.
🌐 QuickBooks Online
"Cards" Export Option
Invoices can now be exported with the “Cards” option enabled. Enable this option in Settings/ Integrations/ Quickbooks Online.
