Platform Updates
Calculate VAT on Invoice Subtotal (Datagate users outside USA)
You can now set Datagate to calculate VAT and GST taxes as a percentage of the invoice subtotal. To enable this option, head to the Settings > Portal > Tax Settings.
- If this box is unchecked, VAT/GST will be calculated on each invoice line.
- If this box is checked, VAT/GST will be calculated on the invoice subtotal
Half-yearly Agreements
Datagate now supports half-yearly agreements allowing you to bill your customers for recurring services once every six months.
You’ll see a new “Half-Yearly” option under Billing Frequency when creating Agreements.
Append Invoices with Additional Documents (PDF)
You can now add an additional PDF file to be attached to the end of outgoing invoices.
This option can be used to attach marketing material, or communications to your customers, at the end of the invoice PDF.
To use this functionality, head to Settings > Invoice Layouts > Add/Edit Invoice Layout. From here, you can create Invoice Layouts by selecting an invoice template and adding an optional PDF file.
This can be configured as a global option, or you can then select Invoice Layouts at the Customer or Agreement Level.
Contact support if you want more info about this feature.
Product Charge Adjustment Transactions
If you change the quantity or price of a customer’s product mid-month, you now have the option to add a pro-rata charge on the invoice.
This option needs to be enabled for your Datagate portal. Please contact Datagate support if you are interested in enabling this feature.

ConnectWise Integration
Invoice Export Product Selection
We’ve now made Product mapping during invoice export easier by enabling you to filter ConnectWise products by Vendor.
If you have a large number of Products in your ConnectWise portal, selecting a vendor here will filter your drop-down list to speed up mapping.
Agreements Mapping during Invoice Export
When exporting invoices to ConnectWise Agreements, Datagate will now display the Datagate Agreement name for each invoice during the Agreements Mapping step of the export wizard.
Annual Agreements from ConnectWise
If you are synchronizing ConnectWise agreements into Datagate, Annual and other non-monthly agreement frequencies will now import into Datagate.
Synchronizing Multiple Agreement Types
You can now specify multiple Agreement types to be synchronized from ConnectWise.
To do so, head to the ConnectWise settings page as described above, and enter your various Agreement types as a comma-separated list.
QuickBooks Desktop
Map Datagate Invoice Items to QuickBooks Desktop
You can now easily map products, usage charges, surcharges, and taxes from Datagate to their respective counterparts in QuickBooks Desktop during the invoice export process.
Datagate will automatically synchronize products from QuickBooks Desktop to facilitate this process.
You can use this functionality to ensure each invoice item from Datagate is mapped to the correct GL code in QuickBooks Desktop.
Exporting Surcharges [USA Only]
If you use the Datagate “Surcharge” functionality to add a cost recovery fee to the invoice, this charge will now be exported to Quickbooks Desktop.
Quoter Integration
Importing Products from Quotes - Unselected Items
Datagate will now automatically exclude items that were not selected by the customer on a Quoter quote when importing products from quotes.
Xero Integration
Xero Customer Email Sync
Datagate will now look at Xero’s “include in email” option to determine which email addresses synchronize from your customers' accounts in Xero.
