Read this document for an overview of how to synchronize HaloPSA Assets with Datagate Service Items.

Why you might enable the Service Item Sync
HaloPSA Service Item Sync allows Service Items, typically phone numbers, to be maintained in HaloPSA and imported to Datagate. We anticipate this feature to be used in the following circumstances:
- Users that are responsible for Service Items are trained on HaloPSA
- You want a record of these Service Items in HaloPSA so that they can be used within HaloPSA (for example associating Service Tickets with a Phone number)
- As far as possible a single "Source of Truth" - Halo
Prerequisites
- Configure the HaloPSA integration: How To Configure The HaloPSA Integration
- Ensure the Service Item type names are finalized (Tolls, TollFree, Circuit, Broadband etc)
- If you have Service Items in Datagate already, decide if you're going to continue to maintain them in Datagate or move them all to HaloPSA Assets.
Synchronization Settings
To enable the HaloPSA Product Sync, from your username choose Settings/Integrations/HaloPSA and press Details.
Check the box for "Use Service Item Sync" and press Save.
The next time the Product Sync runs, Service Items will be imported/updated as follows:
Criteria
We will import Assets to Datagate if they
- Belong to an Asset Type that matches a Service Item Type in Datagate
- Are assigned to a Customer that is set to import to Datagate:
- Are Active
Data
Datagate Service - Halo Asset Type (note not Asset Group)
Datagate Service Item - Halo Asset Tag. Note if the exact service item is already in Datagate, they will be linked together.
Datagate Customer - Halo Customer assigned to the Asset
Datagate Site - Halo Site assigned to the Asset
Datagate Agreement - The Default Agreement. (see Upcoming Enhancements). Note if there is no Agreement marked as "Default" in Datagate, the Service Item/Asset will not be imported
Datagate From Date - The Date the Service Item was created in Datagate.
Datagate To Date - this is not altered by the Sync
Other Service Item data items are not altered by the Sync.

- Start Date can default to x days in the past
- Contracts assigned to Assets in Halo will flow through to Datagate
